Visual Identity Design for a Bespoke Cosmetic Line
Launched in Hackensack by New Jersey native Tynia Sandiford, Butterfly Kisses by Tynia is a gourmet gloss, unique and affordable, bespoke cosmetic line that hits the right balance of light, smooth, luscious, and perfectly-plumping lip applications. Derived from the idea that the brand needed to be, “as light as a feather,” in response to the observation that, “too many makeup lines have settled for daunting eye shadow, heavy lipstick and eye liners to make a statement,” Tynia created Butterfly Kisses. The product line is simple, silky, and ready to instantly liven up lips, to create the perfect pout anytime, anywhere.
Tynia requested that the brand identity reflect this idea of lip applications that were light as a feather. The identity design used transparent, overlapping forms in the simplified butterfly mark to depict the airiness and lightness of a feather—and a butterfly. The logo colors are soft and lively and appeal to the target audience with style, personality and sophistication.
